Stylistically he is on his own while heavily influenced by American roots music. The rhythmic integrity and musical tone is as important as the lyrical content and the artistic intent. Koskinen has reverently entered the anthology of uniquely crafted wry songs with the likes of Woody Guthrie and Ry Cooder while speaking as plainly as your neighbor. The Minneapolis Star Tribune calls Koskinen “the real deal” and “The best country songwriter in Minnesota” “Writes like Dylan, looks like Hank Williams, walks like John Wayne, smokes like James Dean, and plays like no one else.” — Spinout Records Jeremy Moses Curtis's Bio: I was born in ’72 in Providence, Rhode Island, to a single Mother in the early stages of substance recovery. Like many in Generation X, I spent a lot of my childhood fending for myself. Stability was rare, and exposure to music and art the only real constant. Whether attending weekly gatherings at The Temple of Music in Roger Williams Park, or being snuck into tiny cafés to see underground artists like Paul Geremia and Tracy Nelson, or even seeing Dylan on the Street Legal tour, my early memories of live music – of people drawn together by something larger than themselves, a mystery – left a deep impression on my mind and soul. “Jeremy Moses Curtis sings songs that are more like conversations draped across a landscape that is in constant movement. Folk tales of ordinary moments, observations and revelations.” — Dana Colley (Morphine)
