WHITE DUNE: White Dune is the electronic music project of Minneapolis drummer Dave Power. He makes downtempo, ambient, and IDM music inspired by the likes of Boards of Canada, Andy Stott, The Field, Aphex Twin, and other electronic music visionaries. His latest full length, “memory II: drift,” a 122-minute ambient/drone record, was released in October, and a brand new EP is out on January 30th. The new EP, “formica halo”, is Power’s own attempt at making experimental, sample-based house music loosely inspired by a night he spent in the East Village of Manhattan at “The Loft,” a storied, private disco/house dance party. “The Loft” was founded by David Mancuso in the 1970s and is still active to this day, now happening four times a year. The private party is attributed by many to be one of the birthplaces of house music (along with “The Warehouse” in Chicago). PORNONONO: Consisting of Jacob Mullis, Amy Hager, Aaron Baum, Jared Isabella, Ben Clark, and Peter Lavoie, Pornonono is a psychedelic RnB future myth in search of a time and place where we can dance ourselves into one unified body and soul. We will be releasing a brand new single in honor of this momentous occasion. The last set of the night will be a collaborative dance party set with all the acts based on previously unreleased Pornonono songs, a live remix celebration! BRAINGIVER: a new musical organization [supergroup], built around enlisting bizarre and inconceivable groups of collaborators from every corner of music, together creating the Most Sublime and Delicious electronic music heard… in some time! Executive producer dealdrugger recruits a beguiling cast, drawing on associates known best for their work with acts such as Poliça, Bon Iver, Gayngs, Marijuana Deathsquads, and more! Highly regarded as the favorite band of G-off Little. You know what that means!!!! This live performance occasion marks the release of the debut recording effort of the crime syndicate and will honor their short-standing tradition of playing every show with a different lineup of guest talents and improvising the majority of the sound waves that radiate from the speaker system.
