ABOUT SEAN CAREY S. Carey is the moniker of Eau Claire, Wisconsin-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Sean Carey, commonly recognized as the drummer, vocalist, and pianist in the indie folk band, Bon Iver. Over the past decade, Carey has fostered his flourishing solo career via themes of nature and sustainability, songwriting built from jazz beginnings, and heartfelt, emotive lyricism. His latest and fourth album, Break Me Open, adds to a discography of three full-length releases, two EPs, and countless collaborations. As S. Carey developed his songwriting and producing talents, he was commissioned by Will Arnett to write the track "Rose Petals" for his Netflix series Flaked, co-wrote "Hold The Light" with Dierks Bentley for feature-length film Only The Brave, contributed to Sufjan Stevens' album Carrie & Lowell, and has produced for, performed on, and written with the likes of Low, Mike Kinsella, Taylor Deupree, Gordi, John Raymond, Pieta Brown, Bruce Hornsby, Big Red Machine, and Bizhiki. When he's not creating or performing music, you can find him spending time with his kids, watching Food Network, or immersed in nature somewhere in Western or Northern Wisconsin, far from the hum of civilization. ABOUT MIKE LEWIS Mike Lewis was born and raised in a musical family in the Twin Cities. That he would pursue a life in music as well quickly became clear, and the support he's received from his family and closest friends cannot be overstated. The saxophone and a love for jazz came early, while an endless obsession with music in all forms has led him to pick up other instruments along the way. He is a founding member of Happy Apple, Fat Kid Wednesdays and Alpha Consumer, and can be heard live and on recording with Bon Iver, Bonny Light Horseman, and countless others. He's played music on 6 continents over a 30+ year career, and will continue in love and gratitude as long as he's able.
