MaLLy & Last Word will be joined by legendary Twin Cities producer Medium Zach and the super talented and versatile DJ Just Nine. MALLY & LAST WORD "The Sweetest of It All", MaLLy & Last Word’s new album, is a collection of personal and soulful rhymes placed over a warm and futuristic-soul soundscape with a touch of boombap nostalgia. The album is nothing short of a miracle being completed worlds apart, with MaLLy writing and recording in Minneapolis and Last Word tirelessly sampling and arranging from his home in New Zealand. The two vowed to create a project that was uniquely theirs and sonically embodied some of the sweetest elements in life like joy, resiliency, love, peace and liberation. Together they bring a heartfelt stage show with high energy, presence and a sound meant to heal and uplift those in attendance. MEDIUM ZACH Medium Zach is a hip-hop artist and producer with more than 20 years of experience and honing his craft as a solo artist, through his group Big Quarters, mentoring young artists and developing into a respected sound engineer. Zach’s ability to improvise on stage as a producer can capture hip-hop aficionados with the tried and true boombap sound or with melodies from unorthodox elements. His resume spans across all genres producing behind the scenes for artists such as Open Mike Eagle, I-Self Devine, Lady Midnight, 26 Bats!, Homeboy Sandman, Mankwe Ndosi, Javier Santiago, Kara Walker, Resmaa Menakem, & The Minneapolis Institute of Art. DJ JUST NINE Just Nine is a DJ that understands the essence of a Hip-Hop DJ; planning sets meticulously by using his craft to grab and hold any crowd’s attention. His precision with cutting and scratching during his live sets is reminiscent of DJ's Jazzy Jeff, Mix Master Mike, and Premier. Being fortunate enough to have had an abundance of musical influences early in life such as Jazz, Soul, Funk, Rap, R&B, Electronic, Rock & Roll and many more, the art of mixing, blending vinyl and creating a vibe come naturally for Kenichi aka DJ Just Nine.
