Mary Bue Single Release w/ Superior Siren Cover

DOORS 6:30PM SHOW 8PM $15 ADVANCE (+fees) $20 AT THE DOOR MARY BUE Join Mary Bue to celebrate the release of her single "Right Now" off the upcoming album "The Wildness of Living & Dying (early 2025). A nod to a "New York Minute," follow the fast-stream flow of images recognizing that everything - EVERYTHING - is happening in the world right now and we are a piece of this moment. Mary Bue is a songwriter, international retreat guide, and yoga teacher based out of Minneapolis, often roaming this beautiful world. Named Best Songwriter of 2020 by City Pages, her music touches upon archetypal themes of the human condition: love, loss, survival, dreams, and the natural world. A longtime student of yoga and psychology, Mary weaves sacred subject matter into her songs, the seeking of deeper levels of consciousness, and concern for the environment mixed into oft-crass, real-world hue. Mary will be joined by Steve Price (The Suburbs), Richard Medek (Erik Koskinen), Jon Herchert (Mango Jam, Dark Pony), and Julia Floberg (Delphia Cello Quartet) for this evening's soundscape. SUPERIOR SIREN S U P E R I O R S I R E N is an eerie-folk project created by singer-songwriter Laura Sellner. The music offers an alluring yet dangerous expression of vulnerability and desire, with inspiration from Lake Superior and Siren mythology. When Sellner joined forces with cellist Rachel Gobin, bassist Nyssa Krause, and drummer Emma Deaner a sisterhood of sirens was formed. The band haunts stages and crafts a mesmerizing blend of vocals, strings, & percussion. Superior Siren has released two solo EPs, one LP, and is in production of the next full-length album. The band has toured throughout the Midwest while supporting acts such as Low, Trampled By Turtles, Charlie Parr, Bon Iver, DeVotchKa, and HALEY. A recent collaboration with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra influenced the sound Superior Siren will soon evoke.
