The Friend Ship Doyle Turner with The Sweet Beans band combine the best of the Twin Cities and northern Minnesota music communities. What better way to celebrate the launching of two new projects than to share a show at Icehouse!

The Friend Ship, features popular local artists Nikki Lemire, Matthew French, Dave Mehling, Marc Severin & Joel Sax. This “supergroup’ started performing together in 2024 on Joel’s debut album and they had so much fun and had such a great response that they joined together to form this new band, the Friend Ship. They released their first EP, All Aboard! In 2026 and will now be releasing their new album which was recorded live at Century Oak Studio. The word is out and they have been filling every show with new friends, old friends and music lovers everywhere! The Friend Ship would love to bring their best original songs, sweetest harmonies, and funniest stories for a return engagement to the coolest musical venue in town, the Ice House!

A 2026 Dylan Fest Songwriter Contest winner, a 2025 Great River Folk Festival Songwriting Contest First Runner Up, and a 2023 Red Lodge Songwriting Contest Finalist, Doyle Turner releases his highly anticipated new album “Inland” - a retrospective of his growing up on the front seat between his grandparents on the backroads and highways in and around Naytahwaush, Minnesota at the heart of The White Earth Nation.
