An evening of immersive, atmospheric music with Molly Dean and Shady Cove.
Born from late-night sessions in a remote Oregon cabin, Shady Cove creates dreamy, layered songs that drift between folk, ambient pop, and cinematic soundscapes. Their newest release, Shady Cove Part II, expands on that world with shimmering guitars, swelling synths, and harmonies that feel both intimate and expansive.
Molly Dean layers guitar, voice, and texture into something immersive, raw, and quietly powerful. Drawing from folk, indie, and atmospheric pop, the songs from her latest release Interwoven unfold with space and depth.
-Shady Cove Bio :Shady Cove is the collaborative project of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Sarah Rose and Sarah Nienaber. What began as a spontaneous exploration of sound in a remote Oregon cabin has since evolved into something both expansive and deeply rooted. Their self-titled debut, recorded in the Pacific Northwest, was a meditation on longing and movement—desire’s pull toward the horizon.
After multiple tours supporting their self-titled debut, the duo returned home to record Shady Cove Part II, this time in Portland, before mixing with Larry Crane at Jackpot! Recording Studio. The album, released in the fall of 2024, drifts deeper into their signature dream pop atmosphere, where guitars shimmer and dissolve, synths swell with orchestral grandeur, and voices drift between memory and possibility.
Now based in the wooded quiet of western Wisconsin, Shady Cove continues to chase the ever-receding shoreline—finding, in the search itself, something like home.
- Molly Dean Bio:Molly Dean is a Minneapolis-based vocalist and multi-instrumentalist known for loop-driven performances that build in real time—layering guitar and voice into something intimate, textured, and quietly powerful.
Her latest release, Interwoven (2025), moves between classical roots, folk, indie, and atmospheric pop, shaped by years of performing across the U.S. and abroad. The songs are understated but resonant, grounded in melody, space, and emotional clarity.
On stage, Molly constructs each piece moment by moment, allowing the music to breathe and evolve while creating a full-band feel from minimal elements. The result is a live experience that feels close, yet immersive.
