Dead North Bio:
Dead North is a progressive bluegrass band from the northwoods of Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Now residing in Minneapolis, the band is comprised of Luke Pascot (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Kora Melia (mandolin, fiddle, vocals). Together, they push the limits of the bluegrass genre with bold experimentation while still maintaining a high level of respect for tradition. Their sound elegantly mixes bluegrass with elements of jazz, country, funk, and much more. Influenced by the likes of Tony Rice, Billy Strings, David Grisman, etc., Dead North is a must see for any fans of progressive acoustic music.
LaPlant Road Bio:
LaPlant Road is the fondly named duo of Emily LaPlant and Liz Ashworth. It is an ode to the music made in Northern Minnesota, on LaPlant Road, the place where Emily and Liz grew up and discovered themselves. They bring their love for traditional folk and fiddle tunes as well as jazz, R&B, and Rock n Roll into something totally unique. It’s all encompassed by a deep love for each other, two childhood friends and soul sisters."
