Taking place on Monday, September 15th at Icehouse, this event features two electrifying shows and marks a historic moment for fans of Mint Condition and progressive R&B. Long celebrated for their instrumental interludes—affectionately dubbed “Mintroludes”—these signature compositions will be performed in full for the very first time. Though not billed as an official Mint Condition reunion, this will be the first time the band has played together since the Minneapolis Super Bowl. Remarkably, this event also marks the return of both original members Keri Lewis and Chris “Daddy” Dave, performing with the band for the first time in over two decades. The all-star lineup includes: Lawrence El, Stokley, Cory Henry, Chris “Daddy” Dave, O'Dell, Ricky Kinchen, Jeffrey Allen, Keri Lewis, David (DJ) Ginyard Jr., Kavyesh Kaviraj and Special Surprise Guests! Featured Artist Bios: • Chris “Daddy” Dave Widely recognized as one of the most influential drummers of his generation, Chris Dave has reshaped modern drumming through his work with artists like D’Angelo (Black Messiah), Adele, Maxwell, and Robert Glasper. A founding member of Mint Condition, Dave’s unique approach to rhythm blends hip-hop, jazz, funk, and soul with jaw-dropping precision and feel. His return to the stage with original Mint Condition members promises a powerful rhythmic journey. • Cory Henry A Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, and former member of Snarky Puppy, Cory Henry is known for his jaw-dropping improvisation and gospel-infused harmonic language. His solo projects, including Art of Love and Something to Say, showcase his ability to bridge jazz, funk, gospel, and soul into an uplifting and singular musical experience. He brings a deeply spiritual energy to every stage he touches. • David “DJ” Ginyard Jr. Known for his deep pocket and melodic bass lines, DJ Ginyard has toured and recorded with Lauryn Hill, Cory Henry, and Childish Gambino, among others. With roots in gospel and jazz, Ginyard has become one of the most in-demand young bassists in the industry, offering both technical mastery and soulful groove. His dynamic performance style adds an essential foundation to the Mintroludes ensemble. • Kavyesh Kaviraj A classically trained pianist and cutting-edge jazz composer, Kavyesh Kaviraj has quickly become one of the most sought-after keyboardists on the Minneapolis jazz scene. Originally from India, his fusion of South Asian classical elements with American jazz and funk traditions brings a fresh, global perspective to every collaboration. Kavyesh’s sensitivity and creativity at the keys will be on full display during this historic performance.
