Grain Trio formed maybe about 10 years ago when JT Bates sought out Kevin Gastonguay to play Hammond Organ in a traditional Hammond trio consisting of drums, guitar and organ. The classic sound of Jimmy Smith, Big John Patton, Larry Young, etc. The Hammond organ will rattle a room and your cells, some even say its healing. Along with guitarist Zacc Harris, the trio performed regularly in the Twin Cities for many years. KG relocated to Nashville TN a while back so we are very lucky to have the trio playing the Starlight Room for the first time! Many times over the years the breathtaking vocalist Aby Wolf would join the trio to play some American Songbook jazz standards..Aby will be joining the band on this evening as well!
