Harlan Engelmann, and Toby Ramaswamy, creating music with a focus on timbre and harmony. Intuitive forms explore the gradual processes of minimalism, or reflect the pacing of narrative media. Siblings Matt, Jake, and Todd Olson have known each other since day one (literally). Liam and Todd played music together in college, and when all four of them eventually found themselves back in the Twin Cities, it was only natural that they started putting some songs together. The members have performed with a number of other ensembles in the Twin Cities including the Minnesota Opera, Batucada du Norte Percussion Ensemble, and Sumunar Gamelan Ensemble, and have been commissioned to compose music for local musical establishments like Source Song Festival and VocalEssence. In Robot Slide, they synthesize all of these musical experiences, and imbue their brotherly love, into quirky and idiosyncratic ‘sort-of pop’ songs. Boy Dirt Car: Founded 1981 Milwaukee. Outlaws, Outsiders and Artifacts have played a part of Boy Dirt Car from the very inception. Along with the nightmarish chaos and improvisation that has exposed evidence of a decaying culture in 1980’s abandoned soundscapes. we approach our fourth decade. Adam Laurence: Adam Laurence is the duo project of Twin Cities-based multi-disciplinary artists Adam Zahller x Adam Wish-Werven implementing agreed-upon conceptual expression in parallel conference, approximating the collaborative communication within given activity, and exploring the spheric realm of the tandem symbiotic relationship between the perceived success of performance intertwined with the expectations of allowing the self to become ensconced in audience structure as part of a durational undertaking practicing immediacy. It often isn't very good.
