Influenced by players like Greg Howe, Scott Henderson, and Allan Holdsworth, Mike blends aspects of blues, shred, and jazz-fusion into his signature sound. Mike is a former faculty member of McNally Smith College of Music and is currently the marketing director of FretboardBiology.com, an online college level guitar program. In 2016 Mike won the solocontest2016 hosted by Mesa Boogie, Mayones Guitars, Line 6, and Toontrack. Since then he has gained over 150,000 followers across multiple social media platforms via the posting of his original playing and guitar education content. The group currently operates as a four-piece with AWTWHYLAH (aka Colin Mitchell) on drums, Beck Madson on bass, Eli Awada on piano and Jovon Williams on tenor and soprano saxophone. Each member is a student of their craft with a unique approach to their instrument and a drive to push boundaries. Room3 has performed consistently at venues across the Twin Cities and they will be releasing their debut full-length album in Fall 2024.
